Birds of Eden … the pictures

As mentioned in our previous blogpost, we visited Birds of Eden, the worlds largest aviary on our recent trip to NatureÅ› valley. This particular aviary covers two hectares and includes different habitats such as a river, an indigenous forest, a lake, etc. There is an amazing variety of birds in the free-flight aviary and you sometimes can get very close to them. There are also some smaller mammals such as bushmonkeys and the Golden-Handed Tamarin. If you are visiting the Garden Route in South Africa, including the Birds of Eden (and their neighbors Monkeyland) is highly recommended!
