Finally!!! Since Christmas, we have been watching 24, season 2 on DVD and we just finished the series yesterday. “24” Is an American series that tells the story of Jack Bauer, an agent working for the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) who deals with major terrorist threats in the US. In season 2, for example, there is the threat of a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles and Jack and the rest of CTU try to find out where the bomb is and who did it. The show is in “real time”, so every 1-hour episode represents one hour in the story. The creaters of the story managed to make the series incredible gripping so you do not only sit on the edge of your seat during the whole show, but you also cannot stop watching it. We just finished watching the whole series yesterday, watching 1-4 episodes a day for the last week or so! We bought ourselves a projector for Christmas, so it was quite entertaining to watch the show on a big screen (2.5mx1.5m!).
It was an odd Christmas this year. It was the first time we were in the Southern hemisphere for this holiday and it is amazing how the completely different weather influences the holiday. I worked on December 24th and we went and visited John, the company’s MD in the evening. On the 25th, with sunny weather and temperatures around 30 degrees, we relaxed, spent a lot of time in the pool and watched 24!
The weather with new year, and several days afterwards, was miserable – grey, windy and rainy with temperatures around 20 degrees. We stayed home on new years eve and … watched 24. On January 1st we visited some friends and watched some more 24!
